Meet stephanie THOMAS
Stephanie is currently serving her first term as Connecticut's 75th Secretary of the State.
She is a former small business owner who has spent three decades advising and problem-solving for nonprofit organizations. In 2020, she was elected to represent Norwalk, Wilton, and Westport as a Representative in Connecticut’s State House, flipping that seat from Republican to Democrat.
Since taking office, Secretary Thomas has distinguished herself as a strong leader able to build consensus across all party lines. Her business and non-profit background have allowed her to roll out large scale projects successfully and economically.
In addition to her role in Connecticut, she has become a national leader. She serves on the Executive Board of the National Association of Secretaries of State and is an active member of several non-partisan organizations providing thought leadership around the future of elections and the democratic process.
It has been an honor to serve Connecticut.
